  • Hayley Spencer
    Hayley Spencer Office Coordinator

    Hayley has worked in the events industry for over 6 years, with a range of experience across both administration and finance. She began working as our office coordinator in 2022.

    Likes: Yoga, the gym, and holidays.

    Favourite Event: Secret Cinema’s Romeo and Juliet! The Set, characters, and atmosphere were amazing.

  • Su Pretty
    Su Pretty Warehouse Manager

    Su began working in theatre and live music, and later moved towards working in the warehouse for events. She worked in various warehouse roles gaining more experience and progressing into senior roles, which led to her role as our Warehouse Manager!

    Likes: Aerial & pole fitness, food, and beer.

    Favourite Event: Either a Don Broco gig that live streamed at the studio I was working in or working a car show at Goodwood called Mattwood, organised for a chap with brain cancer.

  • Gareth Cooper
    Gareth Cooper Power Account Manager

    Gareth has over 10 years’ experience in temporary power provision, working events, such as F1 and Moto GP at Silverstone, Download festival, Nature Valley Women’s Tennis Open and T20 and ICC cricket test matches across the UK. He joined visions in late 2022, as our Power Account Manager.

    Likes: Festivals/ concerts/ live events, spending quality time with the family, doing stupid stuff in white-water.

    Favourite Event: Getting to see Finch at Brixton Academy and hearing the whole venue scream every word back to the band. Spine-tingling!!

  • Emily Guppy
    Emily Guppy Events Operations Assistant

    Emily studied Events Management at Bournemouth University and graduated in 2022. She joined the Visions team the same year as our Events Operations Assistant.

    Likes: All kinds of music, reading, and coffee.

    Favourite Event: Seeing Don Broco at Portsmouth Guildhall on Halloween 2021. It was my first time seeing one of my favourite bands at a venue rather than a festival – the atmosphere was great!

  • Charleigh Dawkins
    Charleigh Dawkins Production Executive

    After achieving a degree in Events Management from Bournemouth University, Charleigh worked as a freelancer on variety of events in the UK and internationally. She joined the team in 2022 and works as our Production Executive.

    Likes: Road trips in my campervan, the beach, and, of course, live events.

    Favourite Event: Dubai Expo 2020 in the Middle East; an immersive cultural experience, each country had its own pavilion and demonstrated what makes it unique. It’s hard to comprehend the amount of time and effort that went into even the smallest details, it was a once in a lifetime experience!

  • Gareth McGowan
    Gareth McGowan Head of Finance

    Gareth has accumulated 20+ years of accounting and finance experience, working in sectors, such as advertising, branding, PR, banking, finance, defence, retail, and manufacturing. He joined The Event Technology Group in 2022 and is heading up our finance team.

    Likes: Arsenal FC, travelling/ exploring new places, and experimenting in the kitchen – with mixed results.

    Favourite Event: Attending the game and days’ worth of celebrations when my team won the league and became known as The Invincibles! No team has ever, nor is likely to repeat having an undefeated season and securing the title at their rival’s stadium (White Hart Lane 2004). Priceless!

  • Ed Lilley
    Ed Lilley Warehouse Technician

    Ed previously studied television and broadcasting at the University of Portsmouth and Broadcast Engineering at the University of Derby. He then worked on various online video and TV productions, such as the Robert Dyas Christmas advert, and a hate crime awareness video for Thames Valley Police. He joined Visions in 2021 as our Warehouse Technician.

    Likes: Streaming on Twitch.tv, playing for Slough Town FC Community Team, and going to live gigs.

    Favourite Event: Download 2013, interesting sets, creative props, and pyrotechnics for the Rammstein and Slipknot performances. Extras during the festival included a fly over from 2 Spitfires and a Lancaster Bomber – the entire experience was jaw dropping!

  • Sam Cowlam
    Sam Cowlam Production Engineer

    After achieving a Music Production degree from Southampton Solent University, Sam began his career in sound engineering. Working for grass roots venues, as well as events like Glastonbury Festival and Wimbledon Tennis. Sam joined the Visions production team in early 2022.

    Likes: Music (in all its forms), cooking vegan food, and watching Formula 1 at the weekend.

    Favourite Event: Truck Festival, dubbed “godfather of small music festivals”. With a capacity of just 10,000 people, it features upcoming and established artists from the rock and indie scene.

     

  • Billy O’Connell
    Billy O’Connell Group Commercial Director

    Billy has obtained over 30 years’ experience in the industry, organising events, and collaborating with some of the UK’s leading event suppliers. His previous work as Commercial Director and Development Director, led to his position as our Group Commercial Director.

    Likes: Cars, boats, and bikes.

    Favourite Event: The Business Startup Show. I challenge anyone to visit this show and not come away highly motivated.

  • Hannah Leech
    Hannah Leech Assistant Management Accountant

    Hannah joined the Visions team in 2022, while studying for a CIMA qualification. Her 4 years of finance experience within the telecommunications industry prior led her to her role as our Assistant Accountant.

    Likes: Dachsunds, live music events, and tattoos.

    Favourite Event: Vans Warped Tour UK 2015, at Alexandra Palace. It had an incredible line up of artists in an amazing venue!

     

  • Paul Hill
    Paul Hill Creative Designer

    Paul has a background as a Studio Graphic Designer and has created work for the likes of Marketing Week magazine, Heston Blumenthal, Canon, NHS and the Royal Household. He joined Visions in 2022 as our in-house Creative Director.

    Likes: The visual arts, heavy music and travelling.

    Favourite Event: The Download ‘Pilot’ Festival in 2021. A government approved music event -not only was it incredible to be part of a ‘normal’, unrestricted festival experience again, but the research contributed towards the gradual reopening of the live music/events industry.

  • Holly Wadsworth
    Holly Wadsworth Warehouse Engineer

    Holly began her career in generic lighting where she prepped lights for artists, such as Adele and Beyonce. She joined us in 2021 as a production engineer and is now a Warehouse Engineer.

    Likes: Crotchet, circus skills and rock music.

    Favourite Event: Skunk Anansie played a small venue in April 2022 (less than 2000 people capacity). The sound quality was epic, and their stage presence was incredible!

  • Matthew Langwith
    Matthew Langwith Production Engineer

    Matt studied Live Event Technology at the University of Derby and worked at an event production company for two years before joining the Visions team in 2021.

    Likes: A challenge, cooking, and a range of music genres.

    Favourite Event: Sonisphere 2010 – A wide variety of acts over seven stages! It was impressive how they managed to go from Europe’s small rig to Alice Cooper’s huge stage in only 90 minutes.

  • Diana Kerr
    Diana Kerr Accounts Assistant

    Diana is AAT qualified and has 5+ years of accounting experience, as well as previous customer service and administration practice. She joined Visions in 2021 as our Accounts Assistant.

    Likes: Travel, festivals, and skateboarding.

    Favourite Event: Beer festivals and any event that has a live band or live music.

  • Rob Collett
    Rob Collett Head of Production

    During Rob’s early career he worked as a multiskilled technician for some of the biggest music artists in the industry, presidents, royalty, and pretty much everything in-between. He later diversified his technical knowledge, working on video and lighting projects within the corporate world, and today heads up our Production Team.

    Likes: Mountain biking, anything in/on the sea, and wine!

    Favourite Event: The Coldplay Twisted Logic Tour was amazing! It was before the band moved to playing stadiums so there was a more intimate feeling. Verona Arena in Italy was the most memorable venue, it was 35C in an open-air Colosserum and started to rain during the gig.

     

  • Martin Pretty
    Martin Pretty Dry Hire Manager

    Martin worked in theatres for 14 years and specialised in lighting. He began working corporate events in 2017 and joined the Visions team in 2021 as our dry hire manager.

    Likes: cooking, brewing and walking.

    Favourite event: Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2003, seeing a whole range of unique performances in random venues. Some of them toured to the venue I worked in, and I was lucky enough to work on them!

  • Chris Norman
    Chris Norman Founder & CEO

    Chris studied Concert Lighting & Electrics at City of Westminster College, and established Visions in his final year. His expertise in both the technical and management side of the events industry has led to Visions’ impressive portfolio over the years, collaborating with big clients and amazing venues, as well as working internationally.

    Likes: Travelling, skiing and cars.

    Favourite Event: We put on the Doctor Who 50th Celebration Weekend event at ExCel in London. Thousands of fans gathered for an incredible 3-day event! We then recreated the event in Australia.

  • Graham Norman
    Graham Norman Director

    Graham has spent many years working in risk management and insurance. When made redundant in 2005, Visions CEO Chris (his son) asked if he wanted to undertake a new venture buying one of Visions clients, a long established temporary structures company. Having now stepped back from the marquee industry, Graham continues to support Visions looking after insurance and supporting Chris in the company’s expansion.

    Likes: DIY, cycling, and having a good relaxing holiday.

  • Robbie Brown
    Robbie Brown Project Manager

    A former Warehouse Manager, Robbie joined Visions in 2018 as one of our Trainee Engineers. Since then, he trained in the various areas of event tech and production, and now oversees on-site engineering and logistics as our Project Manager.

    Likes: Festivals, relaxing and dreaming big!

    Favourite Event: Boomtown 2019, one of the penultimate festivals before Covid. The line-up and atmosphere were phenomenal, and the Psychedelic Forest was a great and immersive production.

  • Tom Lovick
    Tom Lovick Project Manager

    Tom studied Lighting Design and Technology at the University of South Wales. He joined Visions in 2013 as a production engineer, and his in-depth knowledge of lighting, video, and power led him to his current role as our Technical Project manager!

    Likes: Gin, sailing, and diving.

    Favourite Event: There’s too many to narrow down! Any event with intricate lighting and exciting video, some highlights over the years include the Festival of Education, the Dr Who 50th anniversary, RHS, and Formula Student!

  • Mark Wilks
    Mark Wilks Account Director

    With 11 years of experience working in the events industry, and having previously managed accounts for well-known brands, Mark has an in-depth understanding of AV, exhibition and set building, staging, large format printing, temporary structures, power solutions and rigging.

    Likes: Great set design, innovative projection and a backupsolution.

    Favourite Event: Formula Student – 3000+ students (from across the world) attended to build and test cars to their limits.

  • Wayne Penford
    Wayne Penford Transport and Property Manager

    Wayne Penford AKA Wingnut studied mechanical, electrical, and electronic engineering at college, and spent 16 years working in hospitality and management. He started at Visions in 2016, working in the site and transport side of things, and is now our transportation and property manager.

    Likes: Sidecar MotoX, travelling, and rugby.

    Favourite Event: Isle of Man TT Race 2017 – mixed my enjoyment of motorbikes with working events!

  • Tyron Soutter
    Tyron Soutter Project Manager

    With a background in the hospitality and events industries, Tyron has worked for various clients and events, ranging from launches, and live events to exhibitions and small conferences. Clients have included Caterpillar, Gemini, Nintendo, Publicis, Toyota Russia, and Logitech. He joined Visions in 2022 as Project Manager.

    Likes: Outdoors, animals, beer tasting in European breweries.

    Favourite Event: The Missions Impossible Fallout sample of scene at Warner Bros. Studios, Leavesden. It was a production trial/test scene of the Paris nightclub scene from the film.

  • Sarah Hamilton
    Sarah Hamilton Operations Director

    Sarah worked in many different hospitality and event roles during her studies. She joined Visions in 2007 then developed knowledge of building events from the ground up, and moved into production, worked in account and project management, and now works as our Group Operations Director.

    Likes: Travelling, wine, and adventures with my kids.

    Favourite Event: FEAST London – an event I worked on where we provided temporary power and then enjoyed visiting with friends to enjoy the 20+ street food vendors and bars in unique London venues.

  • Nick Hamilton
    Nick Hamilton Scenic Manager

    After joining Visions in 2013, Nick spent hours on-site building various styles of set for corporate gigs, private parties, conferences, and press launches, while also acquiring skills in tech, build, and project management. He now heads up the scenic arm of The Event Technology Group.

    Likes: Family, pubs, and watching sports.

    Favourite Event:  Coldplay at The Emirates in 2012! A euphoric set, plus it was the first time that their signature LED wristbands were used to sync with the audio.

  • Jamie Andrews
    Jamie Andrews Assets Manager

    Jamie studied BTech Production at The Brit School, since then he has worked as a technical manager and a production manager for various event companies. He joined the Visions team in 2018 as a Technical Manager, and now works as our Assets Manager.

    Likes: My dog, Lego, and sailing.

    Favourite Event: The Covid-19 response projects! It was something that was needed, and I was proud of what we achieved.

  • Como (2018-2022)
    Como (2018-2022) Office Dog and Well Being Support Officer

    Como was an important member of the team since he was a puppy. He loved to meet and greet visitors, especially those that came bearing treats!

    Favourite place: He loved lounging in his favourite corner in the office or wandering around the depot checking everything out. Como loved being out and about on-site at events supporting the team and their well being!

    Interests outside of work: Como loved attention and liked to spend time exploring with his favourite human Chris and was very spoilt with lots of cuddles from his human pals! He loved to have a good play tugging with his toys before having a nap and moving on to his next snack!

    Sadly Como’s time with us was cut short, but he has truly left paw prints on our hearts and will be missed greatly by the team.
